Miami International Airport is known as the Gateway to the Americas and is the third largest International Gateway in the United States , and largest airport for international cargo. Going through Miami International will give you a glimpse of what the city will be like, crowded, lots of construction and tons of diversity. American Airlines is the largest carrier in Miami International Airport with its South American and Central American hub in Miami.

Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is a new modern facility; Miami on the other hand is much older and will seem a bit stuffy with the massive amount of construction going on in Miami International. Another option if traveling to Broward County would be Palm Beach International Airport . However Palm Beach is more than 50 miles from Miami and is not recommended especially if you are not renting a car.
