Miami Fashion Week of the Americas started in 1999 and has already become an important event in Miami’s annual scheme of things. Designers from Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean showcase their fashion talents under a tent rigged up on Miami Beach and vie for top awards in categories like Designers Choice, Pret-A-Porter Style, and Excellence in Evening Wear.
