Don’t go by it's name, the Miami Children’s Museum is not just for kids, it has attractions for visitors of all ages and preferences, founded in 1983, this attractive museum is basically a non profit educational institution, located in Miami’s Watson Island, it was renovated and opened to the public in a new look in 2003.
The museum especially targets children and their parents irrespective of multicultural origins and engages them in a world where they can play and learn and imagine and create at the same time focussing a love for learning and development and communication within various communities and also with one another.
The museum has 12 galleries, classrooms, resource centre for parents and children, 200 seat auditorium, educational gift shop and the themes of the museum’s bilingual and interactive exhibits cover wide areas of arts and culture, another key attraction is the annual film programme sponsored by Florida Film Institute to give free training to students of elementary, middle and high schools.
