The Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is a historical place of interest in Miami and attracts innumerable visitors with it's more than a century old associations, interestingly, the founding date of the cathedral is June 10, 1896 which is only six weeks before the city itself was officially incorporated.
The Trinity Episcopal cathedral was initially wooden with only one room for worship and was the very first place of it's kind in the upcoming town and later grew to a two-storied stone structure in 1912, the splendid Romanesque edifice that stands presently was completed in 1925, in 1980 it was added to U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
For visitors with interests in art and architecture, the cathedral is a goldmine with it's interior depicting scenes such as the six days of creation, the hosts of heaven and the stained glass windows illustrating the life of Jesus, his miracles, seven sacraments of the church and scenes from the Old Testament.
