Miami MetroZoo directions
This is an extremely fascinating attraction that no tourist should miss if visiting Miami, it's Florida’s largest and oldest zoological garden and the only subtropical zoo of its kind in the United States, it has a wildlife count over 1200 and houses over 80 exhibits in a 740 acres of land.

With a history that dates back to 1948, Miami MetroZoo has plans to open its new Amazon and Beyond exhibit from December 2008 to feature exclusive flora and fauna of the tropical Americas like jaguars, anacondas, giant river otters and harpy eagles.

An excellent lesson in itself regarding conservation of wildlife and natural species, the Miami MetroZoo allows visitors to have a view of their favourite tigers, rhinos, gazelles, elephants, crocodiles and wild dogs from exceedingly close quarters which is a specialty of this place, there is also an outstanding aviary and an exclusive children’s zoo along with educational programmes and presentations that you can watch in the Ecology Theatre section.
